Early notification of theft/vandalism of shared infrastructure

How it works

Sensors equipped with LORA technology, installed in the necessary infrastructures, immediately detect any attempted theft/vandalism of the objects and emit an alarm through a secure wireless network.

The security personnel promptly receive the alarm on their mobile phones (through a special application for mobile devices) along with the location of the incident on a map, allowing them to react immediately.

Simultaneously, an alarm is sent to the HERMES Signal Reception Center for appropriate actions to be taken (e.g., monitoring nearby cameras, informing security or police, etc.).

Technical Specifications

The sensors are designed specifically for outdoor use and communicate using LoraWAN technology, while boasting significant autonomy.

Their alarms are transmitted through the wireless network to a central Gateway point where, through an Internet connection, they are forwarded to users’ mobile phones via a dedicated application.

The architecture of the solution is as follows:

The following images show indicative sensors that can be used.

  • Extensive geographical coverage
  • Immediate notifications for intervention and prevention of theft
  • Low acquisition, maintenance, installation, and expansion costs
  • Capability for receiving various types of alarms through the same infrastructure and application.
